Keep Abortion Out of Health Care

No matter what side of the fence you stand on, I think we can all agree that no one wants to pay for something that is against their morals. If you're African-American, would you like the Federal Government to fund the KKK? If you're Jewish, how would you feel about the government funding antisemitism? Heck, if you're vegan, how do you feel about the government financially supporting the meat industry?

As much as 71% of the US population agrees that there is no place for abortion in government-funded health care. Please sign the petition if you agree.

Treat others to Cupcakes for Life!

"No matter what the cause is, everyone wants a cupcake!"

So begins the explanation of National Pro-Life Cupcake Day.

My sister sent me a link to this cool campaign, and I just had to share! I think it's such a great idea, especially since one of the root causes of abortion, as I see it, is the mindset that a baby is a hindrance and pregnancy is a problem. Rather, pregnancy is the earliest stage of life for a new person, and should be celebrated to the fullest!

National Pro-Life Cupcake Day will be held Friday, October 9, 2009. On this day, high school and college students especially are encouraged to take cupcakes decorated with pro-life messages to school to share. While celebrating by sharing these life-affirming treats, participants will also have the opportunity to share the pro-life message including the truth about abortion.

The campaign's website has ideas on how to go about sharing the truth for different audiences, even as young as elementary school age. But basically, it's this simple:

1. Make beautiful cupcakes!
2. Give them out in the name of life!
3. Try to do it on October 9th 2008
4. Take some pictures and send them to [Cupcakes For Life's] myspace!
